PublicSh is the platform of the participation economy.
An economy where the same person can make the work, enjoy somebody else's, and put money behind a third — often on the same day — and where every one of those counts as taking part.
Roles
Hats, not ranks
Nobody has to stop being an audience to become a maker.
Everyone starts as a patron. Creator and sponsor are added to that, never swapped for it, so you can hold all three at once and drop back to one without losing what you built. That is how the accounts are actually made here, not a way of describing them.
What counts
Enjoying the work is taking part in it
Standing on PublicSh is measured across eight kinds of taking part. A creator decides which of them their own doors ask for.
Licences you hold
Rights you bought and still hold.
What you have spent
Money that reached a creator.
Work you carried
Bytes you delivered to other people.
Introductions you made
Someone you brought to a work.
What you played
Plays that were verified as real.
Points you earned
Earned by doing, not given.
Points you were given
Granted by a creator.
Shows you turned up to
The one that needs a door.
None of these is a score out of ten, and none of them is estimated. Each is a count of something that happened, and each is shown as a row you can read.

What we are not saying
No figures. Nothing here has run long enough to have honest ones, and an invented number would undo the only argument this page makes.
Not every mechanism above is switched on yet. Where one is not, it is not claimed anywhere else either — you will find no button for it rather than a button that quietly does nothing.
This is not “participatory economics”, which is a different idea with a much older name. We mean something narrower: what happens to an economy when the audience is part of it.
